A voyage not to be missed….
A blog from Tahitian crew member Titaua Degage, translated from French.
Ideas fill my mind…. Change is inevitable and just as beneficial physically as it is mentally. Time passes differently than usual, but what I treasure the most is the generous beauty of mother nature. Despite difficulties, the voyage continues and we persevere. The voyage in of itself is a rare beauty, of a richness comparable to nothing else, an experience not to miss.
Magnificent people and diverse cultures: Samoan, Tahitian, Fijian, Rarotongan… 15 nationalities all navigating night and day under the rain and under clear skies, propelled by strong and gentle winds, sailing across the surface of calm and tumultuous seas. The crew are well nourished, although uncomfortable at times for certain, but no one complains. I hear laughter and song as we reach new shores, welcomed by dugout canoes and faces that reflect the preciousness of all humanity.
